Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym

NC State offers 430,000 square feet of recreation, fitness and wellness space at the Wellness and Recreation Center and Carmichael Gym.

All fee-paying students are automatically granted access beginning the first day of classes each semester. Entry to the facilities is through the Wolfpack One Card. Memberships for non-students are available at the Wellness and Recreation (WellRec) Member Services Suite.

Paid Memberships are available for:

  • Faculty/Staff
  • University Affiliate (Centennial Campus)
  • Retired Faculty/Staff
  • **Approved Temporary Employees and Official University Visitors
  • *Alumni

**Must obtain a letter from the department indicating the beginning date and ending date of the appointment.
*Must have an Alumni Association Membership. Alumni members are not eligible to purchase a Household Member pass.

If you have a valid NC State Wolfpack One card, you are all set! This is the card you will use to gain entry.

If you have not yet obtained your card, visit the Wolfpack One card office located in the Talley Student Union. The hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Photo ID cards are issued to household members of NC State students, faculty or staff who pay a fee to use the gym facilities. For more information about household memberships, please see the Wellness and Recreation website.
